Skydance Paramount Will Remove Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance will begin mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm intending to reveal all specifics in its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Prior news suggested the company aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

Until December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.
